Decis are magical and gentle creatures, known for spreading dreams and wonders via the power of song. A Deci's soft and beautifully melodic singing is known for its ability to captivate those in the immediate area, and is sometimes said to have the power to spread beyond even the current locale and touch the hearts of people in distant lands, as a faint wisp of a tune carried on the breeze. Though those far away may not realise that they are hearing a song, for a brief moment, as a warm wind caresses their face, they will feel invisible wings flutter at their back, lifted by the gentle gust; and pangs of reminiscence, nostalgic longing and future hope will stir within their hearts, though they will know not from whence they came.

Decis are small in stature and never tend to grow beyond a wispy and slender appearance, due to the fact that they are flying creatures. Early in life, a pair of softly feathered wings emerges from their backs, pale golden in hue and emitting a warm lustre from each individual feather that bathes the Deci in a glow like that of morning sunlight. Their demeanour is unthreatening, and indeed perceived as actively calming to many, especially when they are singing.

Power-tripping Decis are not actually intoxicated by their own abilities, as the name suggests, but are in fact tripping over traps that have been placed for them by Mirs. Mirs frequently live in lairs in symbiosis with Decis, providing them with shelter and protection while the Decis provide them with company, servitude, and something to chew on. Frequently, Mirs will amuse themselves by setting booby-traps for the unwitting Decis to stumble into as they wander around the lair.
